Entering through the small but perfectly presented garden and dining terrace we step into the large open plan living area with a modern fitted kitchen, dining area and sitting room with woodburner and custom made bar area. The rooms have 3.6 metre ceilings, exposed stone, original oak beams, character fireplace, cleverly hidden cloakroom and lavatory - a delightfully comfortable space for entertaining.



Stairs up to the first floor lead into a large master suite with extensive fitted wardrobes and dressing area. The double doors and juliette balcony open to a fabulous view of the Dordogne River and to the side, the Chapel of Penitents - one of Beaulieu's iconic landmarks. Officially recognised as one of France's most beautiful villages, Beaulieu sur Dordogne is a perfect example of why the Dordogne Valley is so loved. Built in a wide loop of the River, the town stands around the 12th century Romanesque church and market place. The winding medieval lanes with their restaurants, cafes and cute independent shops have year round interest but the town really comes alive during the long summer months. The Monday evening market is a local highpoint.
