For nature and peace lovers, this traditional Alpine cottage, fully refurbished in 2015, is located in the Monte Rosa valley Anzasca, at walking distance from Macugnaga, a charming skiing and hiking resort, facing the only "Himalayan" wall of the Alps and its stunning glaciers peaking at 4636 meters above sea level.
The village of Macugnaga is within easy reach from Milan Malpensa airport (1,5 hrs by car, mostly highway) and the most famous Lake Maggiore resorts (Stresa, Baveno).
The luxury, secluded, semi detached cottage, is located on a beautiful sunny meadow ("la Motta"), overlooking the main resort, where only six other inhabited cottages and a small church overlook a splendid, unobstructed panorama.
"La Motta" can be easily reached from the main resort by car (less than five minutes) through a private unpaved gated road. The cottage comes with its own private parking area.
In winter the road converts into a Nordic skiing course and the cottage can then be reached as easily by snowmobile, snow rackets or skiis.
La Motta offers a rare sense of seclusion and authentic contact with nature, sitting amidst pristine woods and yet located just a few minutes away from the facilities of the main resort (groceries, reantal shops, chemist, first aid) with immediate access to unlimited hiking trails.
Within a few minutes walk sits a splendid alpine lake (the fairy lake) with two traditional restaurants.
In winter local lifts and cable cars provide access to 60km of skiing slopes, all with magnificent views of Monte Rosa and suitable for all levels of skiing. The main cable car, climbs up to 3000 meters of altitude (Monte Moro) where snow is almost guaranteed from early December to the end of April.
For back country off-piste lovers, full day excursions to the world renowned slopes of Zermatt, Saas Fee, Cervinia and Gressoney can easily be organised thanks to an affordable helicopter service.

The cottage is split in two adjacent properties: La Motta n.4 (for sale) and La Motta n.6, owned since generations by a local family.
La Motta n.4 features its own private access. The property (c. 2.500 sqft) is developed over three floors with a large panoramic living area, a cozy reading studio with open fireplace and wooden beams ceiling, a modern kitchen, three en suite bedrooms, four bathrooms (two with walk in shower and one with free standing bath tub), a wooden mezzanine, two convenient storage rooms and two large balconies.
