Description

Nestled in the heart of a charming Nottinghamshire village, this delightful Georgian cottage exudes timeless elegance and historic charm.

Jasmine Cottage is one of the original brick cottages in Caunton and has been a much-loved family home for 68 years. Bought at auction on 12th September 1956 for £1,550 by Jean and Jim Barthorpe, not long after they were married. In 1961 they bought the land to build the dining room and extend the garden to fit their growing family of four children. I had the pleasure of speaking with their daughter, "Jasmine Cottage has remained at the heart of our family and all our lives ever since, and now, sadly, it is time to move on."

Internally the property is currently a two bedroom, three reception rooms and a rear conservatory but will require modernisation throughout. The cottage sits in such a fabulous plot and we also believe a substantial extension would also help to create a perfect family home set in this sought after Nottinghamshire village.

Externally the property sits in a plot of around a 1/5 acre and currently features a single garage, a range of outbuildings and the mature side and rear gardens back directly on to fields.
