In the vendors own words

Why did we buy the house?

We saw a spacious house with potential that felt like it was in the countryside yet is 5 to 10 mins away from several major towns and train stations. You can be in central London in 45 mins door to door with the property being 3.5 miles from Orpington mainline station and only 2.5 miles from Chelsfield mainline station . We also loved the views from the upstairs and the secluded private garden.

What have we done to the house?

The house was bought as an unfinished shell in 2003. We completed the extension and refurbishment. In 2008 we added an in/out driveway, in 2009 we converted the original roof, adding 2 bedrooms and an en suite bathroom, plus re-glazing the whole house. In 2015, we created an open plan kitchen, with pantry, utility room and a family room that has become the heart of the home.

What have we enjoyed about living here?

The peace and quiet, amazing countryside walks, the great views from the house over fields and valleys. It's a safe place to bring up our family and we love the rural feel, but with proximity to everything you need.

Accommodation ( room sizes and layout can be found on the floor plans provided )

This luxurious four bedroom detached home, with its over 21' x 17' kitchen/family room and 2/3 reception rooms is situated on a private no through road set within a semi rural location of Cudham, a small village between Sevenoaks and Farnborough.

On entering you immediately walk into the central hall with cloakroom and under stairs storage. French doors open to a dual aspect 20' lounge which features an open fire place and double doors that open to the patio area of the garden.
The kitchen/breakfast room is the heart of this home and the peninsular breakfast bar creates a fantastic space for dining. This being the central hub of the home it
incorporates a beautifully fitted quality kitchen with larder and utility room, with a family area which has plenty of space for dining, entertaining and relaxing.

The study and dining room are two further large rooms that complete the ground floor and provide adaptable space should you need ground floor living accommodation for family/guests.

The generous landing has doors leading to the family bathroom and four double bedrooms. The generous master bedroom includes his and hers fitted wardrobes and a well placed door to a sumptuous en-suite that could rival any luxury home, with a rainfall shower over the large double ended bath. There are three further double bedrooms two of which include fitted wardrobes. The family bathroom is well proportioned with space for a four piece suite including separate cubicle shower.

Exterior

The delightful south east facing garden is fully enclosed and secluded offering a high degree of privacy. There is a spacious patio immediately to the rear of the house and the rest is mainly laid to lawn with a neat hedge border. The garden has been well designed and has many aspects to it making the most of the space. There is side access leading to the front of the house where you will see a large in/out driveway with parking for several cars and door to the garage.
