The surrounding area provides excellent leisure and sporting activities with superb walking, cycling and bridleways on the doorstep. Wokefield Park Hotel lying to the north has an 18 hole golf course and luxury spa. In addition, Wellington Riding Centre at Stratfield Saye is a world class equestrian facility, with racing at Newbury and Ascot.
There is an excellent choice of schools within the area. Prep schools include St Neots, St Andrews, Brockhurst & Marlston House, Elstree, and Wellesley. Secondary schools include Marlborough, Bradfield, Winchester, Downe House and Wellington College, as well as Abbey School in Reading.
