Description

Offering such a lovely cosy home, full of character, this Grade II Listed, semi-detached cottage is entered through an enclosed front porch that opens through a glazed door to a spacious, beamed reception room. With ample space for seating and a dining table, the front wall is of exposed stone with recessed window seats and a central stone fireplace surround. To the side is an enclosed staircase to the upper floor. A rear lobby continues into the kitchen and leads out to the utility room and bathroom. A sliding door opens to the kitchen with simple pine floor and wall cabinets arranged on two sides. There is a recess for a cooker, fridge and a breakfast bar. The utility room houses the boiler and is plumbed for appliances, with a door to a cloakroom. The ground floor bathroom has a full suite with tiled splash backs and an airing cupboard to one corner. The enclosed staircase ascends to the first floor landing with rear window and access to both bedrooms. Each have front views from dormer windows to the south west and built in storage cupboards. Although the main bathroom is on the ground floor, there is a shower room with basin and WC on the first floor.

From the utility room a covered walkway leads to a detached studio, with rear facing windows and two skylights within the vaulted ceiling. With some adaptation and permissions, this would make an ideal guest or relative suite.

Outside

Set behind a dry stone wall with lawn, flower beds and gate, a path leads to the front porch. The rear is accessed by way of a side gate with a paved courtyard and canopy that leads to the studio. (There is a right of way for the neighbour at this point). Beyond the studio is a single garage with vehicular access at the side, and to the rear of the drive is a large private, walled garden with five bar gate, that offers further parking on hard standing. This backs on to open fields, with a shed and Wendy house to the corner and mature trees providing welcome shade.
