Description

SETTING THE SCENE

Tredinnick Dairy is set just down the lane from the ancient hamlet of Bodrifty in the unspoilt rural settlement of Newmill, set near the heart of the Lands End Peninsula and about half way between Penzance on the south coast and Zennor on the rugged and dramatic north coast. The house is surrounded by a Site of Scientific Interest and has direct access to wonderful, wild moorland walks.

Rich in Georgian architecture and with the London Paddington mainline finishing next to the harbour, Penzance offers a wonderful array of art galleries, cafes and restaurants. The long promenade is home to the open-air seawater and thermal Jubilee Bathing Pools ,one of the oldest surviving Art Deco swimming baths in the country. Penzance also has daily sea and air links to the Isles of Scilly.

West Cornwall is home to some of the county's most breath-taking and rugged coastline, with much of the area enjoying the protection of the National Trust. The whole coastline is not far away and includes the famed clifftop Minack Theatre, the fishing port of Newlyn with its superb filmhouse and streetside fish restaurants, and the iconic surf breaks and white sand of Sennen and Porthcurno.

THE TOUR

Beautifully rebuilt and extended by the current owners in 2016, the house is flooded with natural light and has a luxurious, comfortable feel at every turn. The open-plan kitchen and dining room is the 'hub' of the house with beamed vaulted ceiling and double doors leading to the garden. At the front of the house is a sitting room with woodburner and a further 'snug' sitting room, which could possibly serve as a 4th bedroom if required. A central staircase leads to the first floor with 2 wonderfully presented bedrooms and a family bathroom with a deep luxurious bath and power shower.

STEP OUTSIDE

Using the natural granite of the surrounding countryside, the garden has been wonderfully landscaped to create a safe and attractive garden where family time is enjoyed as children and dogs safely play. From the dining space, glazed double doors open out onto a generous terrace with large dining table and chairs. To the rear of Tredinnick Dairy is a further enclosed paved courtyard accessed via the kitchen.

Directly behind the garden is a small paddock, while across the quiet (no-through) lane is a small detached stone outbuilding and an additional private parking area.

AGENTS NOTE

Our clients have informed us that there is an additional parcel of 1.75 acres of land, opposite the Dairy and adjacent to the additional private parking area that could be available by separate negotiation.
