Description

REF - ST0072

Guide Price - £450,000 - £470,000

An exquisite and very pretty, one double bedroom garden apartment within a handsome and prestigious Victorian School conversion overlooking Shandy Park.

With secure entry and an impressive communal entrance hall, the apartment is part of the old headmaster's office.

The bright and spacious accommodation is beautifully and tastefully finished and comprises a living room with park views, dual aspect and garden access. Off the kitchen is a sleek contemporary eat-in kitchen with a clever bespoke work station area.

The double bedroom features an attractive original arched window overlooking the garden and there's a impressive family bathroom and utility cupboard off the entrance hall.

The garden is for the sole use of the apartment and at almost 30ft in length, this impressive space features a seating area, dining area, room for a BBQ, lots of storage and a sunny, west facing aspect.

There is also secure resident's bike storage to the rear of the building.

The conversion of the school was carried out by Bellway Homes who have meticulously and sympathetically restored and transformed with building retaining numerous period features.

St Faith’s Court is nestled between the Mile End and Stepney areas, making the most of fantastic transport links with Mile End and Stepney Green tube stations just a short walk away. You'll love the nearby Mile End Park and Regent’s Canal for some outdoor fun. The area is buzzing with a vibrant urban vibe and offers easy access to all sorts of amenities, including Mile End Hospital and Queen Mary University of London, both just minutes from your doorstep.

A word from the owner...

St Faith’ Court has been my cherished home for the past eight years. The garden, a serene oasis amidst London's hustle and bustle, comes to life in the summer. There’s nothing more wonderful than unwinding in the garden with a BBQ as the evening light fills the entire space with a golden glow, making it the perfect sanctuary after a busy day.

Despite being in Zone 2, with just a half-hour commute to central London door-to-door, the local area is a haven with ample green spaces for leisurely strolls and fresh air. Mile End Park and the canal are just a three-minute walk away, offering endless opportunities for peaceful walks and moments of reflection. A leisurely walk along the river can lead you up to Victoria Park in one direction, or Canary Wharf or Tower Bridge in the other, perfect for a weekend stroll that combines the tranquility of nature with the vibrancy of the city.

Weekends here are a joy, with local cafes offering delightful brunches—my favourites being the Limehouse Yurt Café and Stepney City Farm, where the restaurant serves delicious food made from their own harvest, and a farmers' market graces Saturdays with its fresh produce. On Sundays, Victoria Park hosts another vibrant farmers' market, brimming with international food stalls if you want a quick bit to eat, or you have another opportunity to pick up some locally grown produce, perfect for crafting a home-cooked meal.

Victoria Park Village is a treasure trove of independent restaurants, pubs, and boutiques. For even more variety, Broadway Market, London Fields and Columbia Road Flower Market are just a walk or bike ride away, each with their own unique charm and bustling energy.

The neighbours in the building are warm and friendly. Our neighbourhood WhatsApp group is a wonderful support network for various life admin tasks, creating a true sense of community that has been an integral part of my experience here.

Living in this flat has been a joy. I will feel a deep sadness in leaving, and I hope that whoever moves in will fall in love with this place as deeply as I have.
