1 Cook Court, Bishopdown, Salisbury

Description

Full description

We're in Riverdown, an area in north Salisbury to take a look at a beautiful and modern property available to rent. Being close to the centre means you get the perfect balance of peace and quiet and bustling activity to make sure you don't get bored at any time.

Known as the cathedral City, you'll enjoy beautiful buildings and an enjoyable atmosphere as you browse the many shops and restaurants on offer, including national chains and independent businesses. With plenty of local events to enjoy, there's no shortage of entertainment throughout the year, and a great cultural scene to get your teeth into before retreating back to Riverdown to unwind.

Surrounded by gorgeous countryside, you have the best of both worlds here, and great transport links including bus routes from Riverdown to the city where you can find rail services to a number of locations but road access is also very good too for you to stretch your legs and see what else is around.

We arrive at Cook Court to a lovely three-floor red brick home, enjoying all the advantages a modern build has to offer. That also means everything you see inside is in fantastic condition. This corner home features five bedrooms and four bathrooms, so you're not going to run out of room!

Immediately notice the parking. There's a double garage to the side with space for two more cars in front as well as space on the road, so when you have friends or family to visit, there's going to be plenty of room. A neat and tidy front lawn and path leads to a canopied entrance and through the front door we arrive in a bright entrance hall.

Head along and take the first door on the left to see the study, although this room offers a few options for you, such as a hobby space, a reading room or something else. It's front facing and enjoys plenty of natural light.

The first door on the right leads to the sitting room, which runs from the length of the property. A large window at the front end offers views to the street while at the other end we have glass patio doors to the back garden, which we'll return to later. The space in here means you can do what you want with it; keep it as one long family room or use your furniture to create smaller spaces everyone can enjoy for themselves - the choice is yours.

From the sitting room we arrive at the kitchen, with a light tiled floor and ample space to get make use of those culinary skills you've been hiding. An island breakfast bar sits in the middle, holding the gas cooker and space to eat but there's also room for a table nearby for larger meals. Two walls have fitted floor and wall storage in a light finish with grey worktops for a modern and smart look. The kitchen includes a fridge/freer and dishwasher but other appliances, such as a washing machine, are not included. There is space and plumbing points provided in the adjoining utility room. Finally, another set of glass patio doors lead into the garden.

Return to the hall but before taking the stairs to the first floor, notice the under-stair storage cupboard and downstairs toilet. On the first floor, we have two large bedrooms. The first of which, the master bedroom enjoys a huge amount of space and a dressing area with mirrored cupboards and plenty of storage space, keeping the room clear of clutter. Enjoy plenty of natural light with floor to ceiling windows that can be opened for fresh air, with a railing for safety. There's a large ensuite that includes a bath, shower cubicle, toilet and sink. A very bright and clean room with bright walls and a wood-finished floor.

The second bedroom is also spacious and bright with another floor to ceiling windows and railing beyond, much like the master bedroom. This room also includes an ensuite with a shower cubicle, toilet and sink. The same flooring style and bright walls apply to this ensuite, too.

Also on this floor we have the family bathroom, a very modern room with a toilet, sink and shower, next to a cupboard for extra storage, as well as holding the water tank. The final bedroom is a garden facing single bedroom with built in wardrobe.

Take the stairs to the second floor where we find the next two bedrooms and another shared bathroom, much in the same style as the first floor's shared bathroom. Light, airy and including a toilet, sink and large shower.

To the right of the stairs is the next bedroom with velux and dormer windows, with three walls holding windows for a very bright room. There's also plenty of space for furniture and a desk so a great retreat away from the activity of the rest of the house.

The next bedroom is front facing and is a good-sized double. Being on the top floor means plenty of light that's unobstructed throughout the day and it's easy to keep fresh with the windows bringing clean air in any time of day.

Head back to the ground floor and to the back garden. Being a corner plot means there's a lot of space to enjoy, including a patio area directly from both sets of patio doors perfect for outdoor furniture for relaxing summer meals. You also have access to the garage from the garden too.

Riverdown is to the north eastern side of the cathedral City of Salisbury and has easy access to local amenities such as a local convenience store, doctor/dental surgeries with a pharmacy, veterinary practice, M&S/BP garage, Greentrees Primary School, and a local family orientated pub. Opposite the entrance to Riverdown is a children's nursery, the London Road Park & Ride terminus and the very popular Parkwood leisure/fitness/swimming pool facility. The City centre is 5-10 minutes away by car with its main line station serving Basingstoke, London Waterloo, the West Country and South Wales.
