We're pleased to advertise a one-bedroom flat in Burton Upon Trent. This home benefits from heating, double glazing throughout and has one double bedroom housing a maximum of two people. It also has communal gardens and communal parking. Parking is offered on a first come first served basis. Our properties are unfurnished with no carpets, curtains, furniture, or white goods. Offers will be subject to affordability checks and references. The successful applicant will be required to pay a minimum of one weeks rent in advance before you sign up. Our schemes are for applicants with the age requirement of 55+ only. All household members must meet this age criteria.

This sensitive allocation will require additional background and residency checks and we reserve the right to allocate this property to a person that is most suited to this property. Anyone with a history of anti-social behaviour or drug or alcohol misuse will be refused.

The scheme is made up of 3 Units over 3 floors within the building served by 1 lift and several stairwells, the central stairway also has a stairlift. The properties are heated by electric storage heaters. Electric meters are situated outside each individual property and electricity is the resident's responsibility to set up and pay separately to the service charge. Mobility scooters will need to have permission granted before signing up and a risk assessment will need to be undertaken.

There is a spacious communal lounge within the scheme which is currently being refurbished and modernised to match our sister scheme Carlton Court. Once the refurbishment has been completed the communal lounge will house comfortable seating, books and games as well as an area to sit comfortably and watch television. There is a small kitchen area within to make teas and coffee. On both the first and second floor there is a communal area which will have comfortable seating and a pool table.

Within the scheme, situated on the ground floor, there is a communal laundry which is accessed by residents on a rota basis. There is also a guest room that's available to rent at a cost of £25 per night.

Within a 5-minute walk there are several local shops including food outlets, ASDA and a post office. If you walk a further 5 minutes you will reach the main town centre and there are also transport links via bus into the surrounding areas such as Lichfield and Derby. Burton train station is easily accessible via car or taxi. The local park and cinema can be reached via car or taxi in approximately 5 minutes.
