Sellers comments:

I moved to Regatta Point having lived 8 ears in the Butts in Brentford in a Grade II listed Building. I was very happy there and had no intention of moving until I was shown a shell/loft apartment at the newly created Regatta Point. I loved the idea of designing my own space as there were no internal walls or floors and 2 magnificent views of the river from 2 separate balconies. That was 26 years ago and the flat plus the common areas of the building still stand up well against the neighbouring apartment blocks.

I wanted a large living space for parties and 2 bathrooms, one for me and one for my guests. However, all of this can be re-configured as originally, there was going to be 2 bedrooms, but one bedroom with a large ensuite wet room was the final design. I also added a utility room and bought a semi covered parking space.

I also own a share of the freehold so that the neighbours and I have a greater say in the running of the block through our resident’s association. There’s a great sense of community in the block and we have regular social gatherings in the beautiful communal gardens or the sizeable entrance hall.

Living opposite the new Brentford FC stadium has added a real buzz to the area. You occasionally can hear the fans singing or the roar of the crowd and the family atmosphere makes it the friendliest Premier League Club. Restaurants such as Sam’s Waterside by the canal add a touch of class as well as independent gastro pubs such as The Black Dog and The Weir. The property and its views make it an oasis of quiet with the option to visit central London and all it offers, within 15 minutes by train. It really is the best of both worlds!
