16th-century Convent with garden and olive grove for sale in the historical center of Sarteano, Siena. Built in 1498 along the medieval walls of Sarteano following the convents building rules prescribed by St. Francis, this splendid residence gathers the charm of history handed over through the centuries: for five hundred years it has been the exclusive residence of the cloistered nuns of the Order of the Poor Clare Sisters, for most of the 1900s used as a school and 1970 became a private historic residence. The garden is extremely well-kept and surrounded on one side by the village walls, with a splendid view of the panorama across the Val di Chiana to the lakes, while on the north side there is an olive grove.
