Our family has enjoyed living in Prae Close for almost 20 years. It’s a very friendly street, with a healthy mix of older and younger singles, couples, and families.

We have an active What’s App group. Residents share the freehold of the common areas of land in the Close, including the field at the end, which is often used by children to play together, or for BBQs, street parties etc.

It’s a pleasant stroll up to town along historic St Michael’s Street, or through Verulamium Park, though we have excellent pubs, the Waffle House, and the M&S shop at BP nearer to hand.

St Michael’s school and church is just round the corner, or families often go to the Abbey primary school, or secondary schools Marlborough, Verulam, High School for Girls, or St Columba’s.

We’ve loved the open-plan arrangement downstairs, but the space could easily be returned to the original 2 downstairs rooms of a kitchen diner with separate living area. Several families have extended the ground floor to give even more space downstairs.
