Hacienda Riquelme Golf Resort opened in 2007 and consists of 1,864 apartments spaced around large communal pools, landscaped gardens and the beautifully maintained 18 hole golf course, on the 175-acre development. The golf club house is situated in the original Hacienda building known as the Cas n which also houses the on site restaurant with indoor and outdoor dining, a well stocked supermarket and the Palomar bar.
As well as the golf course, there are two tennis courts, two paddle courts, an outside gym, boules courts, basketball, 5 a side football, 5 lakes, six children's play areas and 19 swimming pools. The town of Sucina is just a 5 minute drive away and has all the services and amenities for everyday living including a post office, medical centre, schools, banks, opticians, chemist and supermarkets. The town centre has a small plaza and church which forms the focus of activity during the lively Summer fiestas. With good motorway links, Hacienda Riquelme is just a 20 minute drive from San Javier, Los Alcazares, and the Mar Menor beaches. The cities of Murcia and Cartagena are less than 30 minutes away and offer an array of shopping facilities, historical sites and cultural events. The popular La Zenia boulevard located in Orihuela Costa is 25 minutes away and has lots to offer for shopping, dining and entertainment. Dos Mares Shopping Mall in San Javier is also excellent and the Espacio Mediterranean shopping complex before Cartagena is open every day with loads of shops and family friendly restaurants,
The town of Balsicas is a 15 minute drive away and has a train station which connects to Murcia and from there to the rest of Spain. Corvera airport is a 25 minute drive and Alicante just under an hour.
