Description

Stunning six bedroom barn conversion, with beautiful courtyard and lawned gardens surrounded by Chimney Meadows Nature Reserve

Description

Originally converted in 2007, Snipe Barn has been totally renovated and updated. It is now a single storey characterful family home in a truly enviable setting, set around a beautifully landscaped, large courtyard garden. Stone and wood flooring, braced wood doors with iron latches, beams and fully glazed walls feature.

The front door, with its brass snipe knocker, opens to an entrance hall in the heart of the house. The striking sitting room has glazed walling to the south easterly aspect, A-frame beams and a wood burning stove. The large kitchen/dining room has French doors opening to the large rear garden. Painted wooden cabinetry sits below granite worktops with a generous breakfast bar. There is a Rangemaster range cooker, integrated dishwasher and butler sink. An inner hall with door to the courtyard has a large utility cupboard with plumbing for washing machine, dryer and second dishwasher. There is also a cloakroom off. Just beyond is a large bedroom with an en suite wet room.

The western aspect of the barn houses the principal bedroom with a fully glazed wall with a double ended slipper bath and en suite shower room. There are four further bedrooms, two with en suite facilities and a family bathroom. The principal bedroom has a door opening directly to the outside shepherd’s hut bathroom.

Outside
The beautifully landscaped courtyard garden features herbaceous beds, a large wooden pergola with stone terrace beneath, and an informal seating area. A quirky shepherd’s hut style shed, open to one side, housing a freestanding tin double ended slipper bath, creates the opportunity for indulgent and luxurious open air bathing and opens from the principal bedroom. The large rear garden is accessed from French doors from the kitchen/dining room.

There is ample parking on the gravel driveway to the front of the property with an electric car charging point.
