Description

Mockley Wood Farm is a rare find, nestled within
beautiful countryside and offering a fantastic array of leisure facilities – it is the house that has everything.

The 15,000 sq ft house sits within expansive gardens and grassland, which include a tennis court, a lake and equestrian facilities, and a fabulous terrace that’s perfect for entertaining. Internally, the property is elegantly presented and features a number of interesting décor touches, including exposed stone, wood floors, feature lighting and high specification details, such as air conditioning in selected bedrooms, a stunning kitchen and a light-filled glass atrium. The leisure facilities are vast and include a swimming pool and squash court.

The elegant and light-filled accommodation is arranged in two parts: the main house and the leisure wing. The property is accessed via a stunning atrium which leads to the ‘Lake Room’, a large reception room overlooking the lake that has its own bar, fitted seating and far-reaching views over the lake. There are two kitchens: a formal space with professional-standard facilities and a breakfast/dining area, and an informal kitchen with integrated utility area. There is also a wonderful light-filled conservatory, with views over the lake and gardens. Additional reception rooms include a drawing room, dining room and study. Upstairs, the six bedroom are beautifully appointed, most notably the principal suite which is outfitted in Versace furnishings and features a raised dais, French windows opening to a private balcony, a dressing room, bath/shower room and separate cloakroom. Also on the first floor there’s a private sitting/entertainment room overlooking the lake, and five further bedrooms, four of which are ensuite. The leisure wing is single storey and comprises a swimming pool under a double-height ceiling, a private squash court, gym, sauna and snooker room.

Outside

Situated in splendid countryside, within grounds of about 40 acres, comprising extensive leisure facilities, formal gardens, a lake and equestrian facilities. The property is approached over a long driveway, accessed via a very private gated entrance with an intercom. There is parking to the front on a large driveway, with additional parking available around the estate and an integral four-car garage with electric doors, which has a garden room to the rear. The formal gardens wrap around the east side of the property, comprising expansive lawns, manicured topiary, an orchard and a sizeable paved terrace to the rear, which leads down to the banks of an ornamental lake. In addition to the internal leisure facilities, there is a hardstanding tennis court and workshops, offering a variety of uses, and a kitchen garden. The equestrian facilities are situated separately and would be well suited to a professional or keen amateur, including post and railed grazing, a horse walker, all-weather manège and internal Monarch stabling, a yard, various barns and feed and tack rooms.
