A parking space is situated a short walk from the lodge. The garden is well maintained, and a spacious decked area allows you to relax and enjoy a barbecue with friends.

The closest beach to The Thatches is Bigbury on Sea which is an excellent beach for families, at low tide you can stroll across the sandy causeway and explore Burgh Island. Bantham beach with its rolling sand dunes, endless beach and rock pools.
The charming medieval town of Modbury is just a mile away and boasts some beautiful traditional inns, an organic grocery store, a traditional bakery, ironmongers, gift shops and much more.
Right on the doorstep is Salcombe, with its spectacular coastline and beaches, it's the perfect place to enjoy a day on the water or discovering the wide range of shops, restaurants and bars. Dartmouth and Kingsbridge are also a short distance away.
