The original project of the villa is the work of the famous engineer and architect Ugo Luccichenti, one of the greatest authorities of Roman residential architecture (but not only), from the 1930s. Specifically, we are talking about the so-called "Villino Type 3," made in only four examples at the end of the 1950s. Luccichenti through a unique interpretation of the "American" type of residential architecture conceived four villas (each with small differences, but substantially similar) that presented a very elaborate typological study in plan and set on a large double-height hall with a thatched roof in addition to one-level accessory bodies separated into a sleeping area and a services area. We can speak of a real "unicum" in the panorama of Roman residential construction.
