Description

Mill End Cottage is a light and elegant Cotswold stone cottage which has been sympathetically renovated to a high standard by its current custodian. It sits centrally in Amberley, an extremely popular village with stunning views and National Trust common land on its doorstep.

Description - Mill End Cottage has been renovated to a high standard throughout, maintaining its period features while also offering an elegant and homely atmosphere. Entering into the dining room with its Limestone floor, you soon feel the friendly, welcoming personality Mill End Cottage has. The sitting room with its woodburning stove has double doors leading to a covered outside area and the beautifully fitted kitchen with a range of built in appliances is testament to the hard work and vision of the current owner. There is also a downstairs shower room with a large amount of storage, something some cottages lack. On the first floor there is a double bedroom with built in wardrobe and a bathroom which has been finished to a high standard with two more bedrooms on the second floor, all of which offer stunning views and a feeling of space and light. To the rear of the property is an enclosed garden and to the side of the property is a parking area.

Location - Amberley, a small but picture perfect village lying around three miles south of Stroud. Believed to have been part of the Woodchester Estate in the 8th Century it's much better known now for stunning views, proximity to the common and amazing sun sets, oh yes, and two very enjoyable pubs! With 600 acres of National Trust Common land on your doorstep and some highly recommended private and public-sector schools including a Steiner School and Beaudesert Park School. Minchinhampton Golf Club is just across the common and there are also some great local eateries as well as the famous Winstones Ice Cream factory.
The nearest town of Nailsworth is around a mile away where you will find a small supermarket, delicatessens including the renowned William's Kitchen fish and a great bakery. Approximately three miles away is the town of Stroud offering excellent secondary schools, as well as the Farmer's Market, a variety of supermarkets plus lots of daytime & evening leisure activities. Stroud has a mainline train station running a direct service to London Paddington. taking around an hour and a half.

Directions - Mill End Cottage is most easily found by leaving Stroud on the A46 signposted Nailsworth. Continue for around three miles and turn left into Culver Hill.
