The extensive sandy beaches of Camber Sands are just under 11 miles away where there are a variety of watersports.

Appledore station (2.5 miles) has services to Ashford, Rye and Hastings. Ashford station has a high speed link to London St Pancras in 37 minutes. Channel tunnel is 21 miles away.

There is an excellent number of schools in the area in both the state and private sectors at primary and secondary level.

The M20 can be joined at Ashford with links to London, the coast and other motorway networks. The A21 at Flimwell with links to the M25 at junction 5 and Gatwick and Heathrow airports.
