Location

Oldfield Park is a thriving suburban community to the south of Bath city centre with superb transport links, including its own train station on the main line to Bristol Temple Meads, Bath Spa & London Paddington. The area is served by several direct bus services into Bath city centre, as well as to both universities. Moorland Road (100yds to the southeast) is the main high street of the area and has a comprehensive selection of local amenities including shops, restaurants, cafe's and bars.

Agents Notes

The property is leasehold - 999yrs from conversion date so in excess of 980yrs remaining. The building is managed on behalf of the residents and the current service charge for this apartment is £3492.06pa. Oldfield Park Primitive Methodist chapel was opened on September 14th 1892 having cost £2,249 to build. The preacher at the opening ceremony was the Rev J Clapham and the collection amounted to just over £4. Membership of the church at that time was recorded at 34 people. The building was on two levels - the lower one was the Sunday School and hall whilst the worship area was upstairs. Local residents will also remember the tin church hall (called the Institute Building on maps and built in 1903) which once stood to the left side of the building. Planning permission was granted for residential conversion into 6 apartments in June 2008 and, after 117 years of worship, the final service was held in October 2009.
