It's set in the most celebrated part of the Dordogne - "The Golden triangle", which includes Sarlat, La Roque Gageac, Domme, Castelnaud and Beynac. The house is right in the centre of this spectacular area with some of the best views in the whole region.
It is within an easy stroll of restaurants and has unsurpassed views over the river to La Roque Gageac, the Dordogne valley and Domme. The beautiful town of Sarlat is 6 miles away. It boasts more listed buildings per square metre than any town in Europe and is famous for its markets, music and arts festivals. Castelnaud (2 miles) has a fascinating museum of medieval warfare. Beynac chateau (4 m) is also well worth a visit, perched atop the beautiful medieval village where Chocolat was filmed. 2 miles away the Chateau de Marqueyssac has amazing topiary gardens, a restaurant with stunning views over the valley and lots of activities for all ages. During the months of July and August they hold a weekly candellight evening with various musical performers thoughout the gardens - an absolute delight!

The house has been let in the past as a holiday rental, we only rent it for a limited part of the year (16 weeks ) and the income generated averages around 30,000 euros for this restricted season. There's fantastic potential for a greater return if the property was to be rented for a longer period as the views and situation are superb.
