The garden and grounds extend to about 1 acre and provide a small pony paddock, parking areas, lawned gardens with shrubbery borders and a kitchen garden area.

HISTORICAL NOTE
Shackerley House is a substantial Grade II Listed country house. It was originally a farmhouse dating back to 1600s and is thought to have included timbers from the White Ladies Priory, which was dissolved in 1536 during the reign of Henry VIII. In 1651 the house was occupied by Margaret, sister to the Penderell brothers who were living at White Ladies and Boscobel House. All the family were involved in giving aid to Charles Stuart, future Charles II, in the days immediately after his defeat and escape from the Battle of Worcester.

The front of the house was extended with a new façade and slightly projecting central gable break in the late 18th and early 19th century.
