For golfing enthusiasts, Dunfanaghy Golf Club (2 km) offers one of the finest links courses in Donegal, while Rosapenna Golf Resort in Downings (20 km) has two championship links courses - Sandy Hills and Old Tom Morris and a third course, St Patrick's Links by Tom Doak.

Local schooling is available at Faugher National School, Holy Trinity National School, Ballymore National School. Secondary school options are available in both Letterkenny and Milford.

Donegal Airport is 43 km distant while the town of Dunfanaghy is well served by transport links connecting it to Letterkenny, Galway, Dublin, Derry/Londonderry and Belfast. Daily ferry services are also available from Magheroarty Pier to Tory Island.
