The Vall de Laguart is a valley and also a municipality that includes three small villages: Campell, Fleix and Benimaurell; in addition to the population center of Fontilles, former leprosarium that currently functions as a geriatric, rehabilitation center and research space. In total, all add up to about 820 inhabitants. The three small villages of the Vall de Laguar have one factor in common: they are in a very mountainous environment, between the mountains of Cavall Verd (or Serra del Penyó), Migdia and Carrasca, at about 500 meters of altitude.
The three are located consecutively, which is why they have a nickname: Campell is also known as the *poble de Baix* (the town below); Fleix is the *poble del Mig* (middle); and Benimaurell, the *poble de Dalt* (above). We recommend strolling quietly through its streets, having a drink in the bars of each town and feeling how life flows at a different pace. We can even walk from the first village to the last: there are barely 2.5 kilometers away.
