Mogente is a municipality in the Valencian Community. It is located in the southwest of the province of Valencia, in the region of La Costera, very close to the provinces of Alicante and Albacete. It currently has more than 4,000 inhabitants.

The town is part of the region of La Costera and is located 81 kilometres from Valencia. Its municipal district is crossed by the A-35 motorway from where you can travel in the direction of Alicante, Albacete or Valencia.

In the Bastida de les Alcusses district you will find the largest Iberian site in the Valencian Community: a walled settlement where it is estimated that between 1,000 and 1,200 people lived. Located 714 metres above sea level, it was declared a Historic-Artistic Monument in 1931.

Mogente has several monuments:
Castle of Mogente. From the Almohad period, from the end of the 12th century, its crenellated towers are outstanding, as well as the Coloms Tower.
Iberian necropolis of Corral de Saus. A walled Iberian settlement from the 4th century BC.
Bosquet Dam. Built in the 18th century, the result of the renovating ideas that affected hydraulic works and agricultural rationalisation, typical of the Enlightenment policy of Charles III.

The local fiestas in honour of San Abdón and San Senén are held on the third weekend in August. The Moors and Christians festivities are held on the last weekend of October. The Half Year of Moors and Christians is held on the last weekend of April.
