The property is in a traditional village of the municipality Platanias, just outside the seaside Kolymbari. It is an old stone residence, which has been recently restored and has a beautiful stone-paved courtyard and a small "hidden" garden. A picturesque cobbled alley reaches the house while there is an asphalt road just 40 m away as well as a square, where you can park your vehicle. The residence has strong traditional elements, which have been preserved and highlighted in a tasteful final result.

The house is arranged over two levels of 53 m² and 38 m² while there is also a loft of an additional 18 m². The main entrance is on the central level through a western terrace, which overlooks the garden. Alternatively, a door for the guests opens onto the garden and a second entrance onto a lower level. The entrance of the terrace opens onto the living space, from where a circular staircase leads us to the loft upstairs or downstairs. The living space has a warm wooden floor and a central wood-burning stove while large openings let in plenty of light and offer views of the mountains or the sea. The loft is used as a bedroom and is currently being divided in order to add a WC, which will be completed when you buy the property. The ground floor includes a main bathroom with bathtub, a large bedroom and the kitchen. In the kitchen there is a second wood-burning stove as well as an arch that leads to the yard.

The surrounding villages are beautiful with picturesque cobbled alleys while within 5 minutes' drive is the beach of Afrata, which has facilities and pebbles. The wider area is protected. It is of exceptional natural beauty and in a small distance there are paths, trails and many interesting places, where you can enjoy the wild Cretan landscape. In Kolymbari the nearest small town, which is 5 to 10 minutes' drive, you will find schools, supermarkets, taverns that are open all year round as well as several shops. The city center of Chania is about 35 minutes' drive and Kissamos about 20 minutes.
