This typical stone farmhouse is located along the old dirt road that led from Pienza to Monticchiello, with a beautiful view of the rolling hills and gullies typical of the Val d'Orcia. The property can be reached by descending a cypress-lined driveway that crosses the small olive grove We find ourselves in front of an enchanting glimpse: the centuries-old olive tree, the old well, the rosemary bushes in front of the house, the large lawn which gently slopes down to the ditch that borders the property, Pienza and Monticchiello on the opposite sides of the house to frame the scene. The house is accessed from the ground floor, through the big veranda with large windows to appreciate the view. You enter a spacious living room, characterized by an elegant vaulted ceiling and Tuscan terracotta floors, with a large dining table and sofas in front of the fireplace. The floor is completed by a bedroom, a courtesy bathroom and the kitchen. The first floor is accessed from the internal staircase. The ceilings are typical with rafters. Half of the floor is entirely occupied by the main bedroom, with panoramic windows on three sides and which can also be accessed from the external stone staircase. We then have a large bathroom with a window and the other bedroom. Going further up you arrive in the attic which has the same surface area as the floor below, all parquet flooring. Here we find two separate spaces, which can possibly be used as office and bedroom and where a third bathroom has been created. The 2ha of land around the property allow to have enough privacy without imposing major maintenance commitments.

The farmhouse is located a few km from the medieval village of Monticchiello and a few minutes by car from the well-known artistic towns of Pienza and Montepulciano. The area, which has become one of the most exclusive in Tuscany over the years, offers many recreational activities ranging from horseback riding and trekking, to the increasingly common bike tours, among the suggestive paths of the UNESCO heritage of Val d'Orcia. Restaurants and wine bars with increasingly sophisticated menus and wine lists offer the opportunity to appreciate food and wine traditions of this corner of Tuscany, often enriched by visits to the historic cellars of Vino Nobile and Brunello di Montalcino. Wellness lovers can satisfy their needs at the Terme di Bagno Vignoni, with the characteristic Roman tub in the centre of the town, and in the thermal pools of Chianciano. These areas can be easily reached both from the north and from the south, the airports of Rome and Florence are about 2 hours by car, the A1 highway is about 20 km away. The nearest train station, about 25 minutes by car, is in Chiusi, with local or fast trains to all the most important Italian destinations.
