Tenure and Maintenance
We understand that the property is held on 999 year lease commencing on in 1992. Lease Term Remaining 968 years. The freehold of Fortfield Flats is owned by management company in which the residents are equal shareholders. We understand that the maintenance costs of the building are divided between the apartments within Fortfield Flats. We understand, the annual maintenance charge which includes the share payable for buildings insurance was approximately £1,970.00, the management company split this into two six monthly payments of approximately £985.00. No pets are permitted within the lease. Underletting is permitted on a holiday let basis or on an assured tenancy. We have not seen documentation of the above and it would need to be verified by a solicitor prior to engaging in a purchase.
