By car, the A14 at Spaldwick is 6 miles and the A1 at St. Neots is 9 miles. Cambridge is 30 miles (about 1 hour) via the A428 or the A14. There is a public school, with a preparatory arm in Kimbolton a primary school in Upper Dean and a bus from Lower Dean takes pupils to the state secondary school in Sharnbrook.
