Coalbrookdale is a short distance from the renowned and historic former industrial town of Ironbridge and is located on the banks of The River Severn. The river cuts its way through the steep and wooded slopes of The Gorge and forms one of the most striking and distinctive landscapes in England and is worthy of its World Heritage Site designation.
