Easily accessible by way of a well-maintained white road, the property consists of two separate buildings: the main villa and a barn, plus a hectare of land. There is, however, the possibility to purchase more land if required.

The barn, approximately 50 sqm, has all the makings of a simple guesthouse or useable space separate from the main house. The farmhouse, of approximately 300 sqm however, is quite different.

Completing the main house is the master bedroom located in the tower. This wonderful property has real potential to become the perfect dream home. History: The farmhouse is in a slightly elevated position and its centenarian bones have seen the birth of Pope Urbano VIII of the Barberini family, whose coat of arms is decorated by 3 bees which were, originally, 3 humble horse flies, conveniently replaced to represent a by now princely family. The word for horse fly in Italian is 'tafano', hence the name of the property which pays homage to the 3 horse flies.

Barberino, the nearby village, used to be the home of the Barberini noble family. Pope Urbano was not the only notorious person from this area, Francesco da Barberino and his great friend Dante both belonged to the secret Templar brotherhood of the Fedeli d'Amore and would have most likely discussed philosophy and science among these olive groves whilst enjoying a local "fiasco di vino".
