This delightful period townhouse is located right in the heart of the historic harbour town of Watchet, amongst a wonderful array of independent shops, cafés, galleries and restaurants, together with the marina, East Quay development and West Street beach right on the doorstep. The stylish accommodation is spread over five floors (including a cellar and loft room) and offers incredible flexibility. The property would make an ideal home for someone wanting to immerse themselves in Watchet life, with excellent opportunity to work from home, or even holiday/Air BnB accommodation.

Ross Loves: One of my favourite things about this period home is its fantastic location right at the very heart of Watchet, the town has such an incredibly friendly feel and the independent shops, galleries, eateries and pubs are fantastic, not to mention the beach, marina and East Quay development! I also love the quirkiness and flexibility of the house, arranged over five floors with a loft room and cellar to boot, this property is an incredibly unique find!

The Owner Loves: We love the house because you can wake up hearing the seagulls, take a leisurely two minute stroll to the beach, grab fresh croissant for breakfast on your way back and sit with papers in our lovely airy living room. The house can be used in so many ways and offers the chance to be a really flexible living/work space.

The accommodation in brief comprises; entrance door to spacious kitchen, fitted with traditionally styled charcoal cabinetry with oak work surfaces over, there is a pantry nook behind the chimney which perfectly houses a large fridge freezer and benefits from shelving for pots and pans or food. Another nook behind the chimney provides a laundry cupboard for the washing machine. A door opens into the front reception room (currently arranged as a formal dining room) with large sash window to the front with shutters, a central fireplace is enjoyed, together with recessed cupboards and shelving to either side of the chimney breast. An under stairs cupboard (located in the kitchen) houses the access hatch for the cellar which is accessed via ladder stairs and provides an excellent storage room but offers alternative uses is so wished.

Stairs rise to the first floor landing with cupboard and doors the the large family bathroom and first floor reception room/bedroom. The family bathroom is fitted with a quadrant shower enclosure, wash basin WC and traditional roll top, claw foot bath. The reception room is light and airy owing to the large front aspect sash window, there is a beautiful central fireplace which is working and used. This room could also be used as a third bedroom if the ground floor was arranged as a sitting room instead of formal dining.

From the landing stairs rise again to the second floor which houses two spacious double bedrooms. On the 2nd floor landing area is a loft hatch with pull down ladder to the boarded out loft room with skylight which is currently used as a home office.
