East Budleigh is a small village in East Devon. The villages of Yettington, Colaton Raleigh, and Otterton lie (respectively) to the west, north and east of East Budleigh, with the seaside town of Budleigh Salterton about two miles south. Until the River Otter to the east silted up, the village was a market town and port; it was still being used by ships in the 15th century. East Budleigh has a lovely community pub called the Sir Walter Raleigh.
Budleigh Salterton is known as a charming town with good local amenities, shops, a museum and cafes. Situated on the Jurassic coastline, with its' famous pebble beach stretching 2 miles, it is a prime location and positioned in the East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
