Thatched Cottage Park is a small residential park which is situated a short walk from the village high street of Lyndhurst (the capital of the New Forest). There is a bus stop right outside the park and Ashurst, which is on the main Waterloo - Weymouth railway line, is just a few minutes' drive away. Just 9 miles east is the city of Southampton, with all its attractions and wide variety of shops and malls.
To the south of Lyndhurst lies the delightful village of Brockenhurst, and the market town of Lymington - just a few miles beyond has a wide variety of attractions and is famous for its marinas and sailing facilities.
At Thatched Cottage Park, you can quite literally walk out of the park and onto the forest. The New Forest itself is famous for the animals which can wander freely and the terrain varies from lowland heathland to vast swathes of wooded areas. Lyndhurst Golf Club is adjacent to the park.
