Garden
The garden around the house is mostly laid to lawn. Doors from the dining room open out onto a flagstone patio. There is a garden shed in the far corner. It is a delightful sheltered area with roses, wisteria, apple trees, a fig tree, raspberries and blueberries. The tiered vegetable plot has a natural spring and is shaded by a cherry blossom tree. The land rises quite steeply above the house, it is accessed from the garden.
Outside
The approach to the cottage is on foot from the village below. There is an area of level garden around the house and stunning views over the surrounding countryside. The remainder of the ground slopes sharply, it is accessed separately on foot from the house. The whole plot extends to approximately 2 acres. It is divided into 7 plots, some wooded, one with a derelict cottage believed to have a water supply. The orchard produces a good crop of fruit including apples, red pear and plum, hazelnuts and wild raspberries. There is alternative access to the top of land from an established footpath which is not suitable for vehicles.
