Description
As featured on ch4 ´A Place in the Sun´ Autumn 2020 - Exclusive with VillaSolutions. A luxurious villa in a stunning and secluded location in the middle of the Andalusian countryside, with breath-taking views to the Mediterranean Sea and mountains of the Axarquia. An oasis of peace and silence! This large and beautifully decorated villa built in classical Andalusian style is characterized by spacious rooms and high ceilings. The villa has 6 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms and an apartment. The heart of the villa is the spacious living room that opens out via two 3 meter *10ft (high French doors onto the terraces and the pool. There is a large double fireplace that connects to the perfectly equipped kitchen. You can relax on one of the many terraces around the house or in the large, heated natural stone saltwater swimming pool. The villa is fully insulated, has double glazing and has floor heating as well as floor cooling. The villa is situated on a generous plot of private land with over organic almond and olive trees. Throughout the year you can enjoy a breath-taking view of the Mediterranean Sea, the beautiful valley with the reservoir of Viñuela and the surrounding mountains of the Sierra de Tejeda and Montes de Malaga. Although the villa is now used as a residence, it could also serve as a restaurant, luxury B&B. Intimate rural hotel. Or conference / course location. The villa is officially registered as “Vivienda turística de Alojamiento Rural”. If you are looking for a unique place with total privacy and seclusion, surrounded by glorious countryside and yet only 5 minutes by car from two villages with all the amenities, from health care to bank, from supermarket to restaurant, then this may be your dream house. The exceptional location and beauty of this villa can only be appreciated by seeing it in person. About the location: The finca is located in the Axarquia, a region known as La Huerta de Málaga or the vegetable garden of Málaga and which has the most sunshine hours of the entire mainland of Europe (almost 3,000 in 2018). In spite of that, the summers are considerably less hot than elsewhere in Andalusia and it is less cold in the winter because the mountains around stop the cold and the warm southern wind from Africa then lingers there and the humidity is low. Partly because the house is also at 450 meters above sea level, it is almost never uncomfortably warm on the finca. The temperature rarely exceeds 30º (86ºF) and is very pleasant in the winter. In January the temperature in the shade is often 20ºC (68ºF). Vegetation Ca. 100 olive and almond trees (which are maintained by a Spaniard who receives the harvest as payment). Various (fruit) trees and bushes, bearing: oranges, lemons, limes, tangerines, apples, bananas, cherries, peaches, mangos, kaffir limes, avocadoes, walnuts, hazelnuts, cherimoyas, figs and passion fruit.Since 2002, no toxic chemicals and synthetic fertilizers have been used to treat the land ad is therefore considered organic. The house can be reach by private road of 650 yards long (the three owners of adjacent olive groves are eligible to use the road as well). The road is both halfway and at the house closed with a chain. The first thing you will notice whilst entering through the large wooden front door, is the spaciousness. The high ceiling and the large 3 meter (10ft) high French doors onto the terrace: here, you will never have the feeling of being locked up. Furthermore, in the main house are a TV/reading room, an office with French doors, the terrace, a toilet and a pantry. There is fully equipped , modern kitchen (6-burner Smeg stove, Miele dishwasher and a steam oven, Liebherr double fridge with Bio-fresh, etc. Etc.) with a look-through fireplace to the living room and French doors to the outside terrace. Next to the kitchen there is an evening terrace with a herb garden and an outdoor cooking area with gas barbeque. The office room has a French balcony overlooking the mountains of Alfarnate and reservoir. The bedroom is en-suite with the bathroom with sink, toilet and shower. The office could be used as an extra bedroom, as it is also connected with the bathroom. For further enquiries please contact Tim: 1 or
