Paulhaguet is the nearest town, which is about a 10min drive. Here you’ll find a couple of boulangeries, butchers, supermarket and produce market. A wider range of shops and restaurants can be found at Langeac, which is about a 20min drive.
Nearby villages of Lavaudieu, Blesle, Pradelles, Arlempdes are all well worth a visit and each are designated ‘one of most beautiful villages in France’.
In winter the ski resorts of resorts of Super Besse and Mont Dore are perfectly do-able as day trips and are about a 90min drive.
The airport at Clermont is just over an hour in the car.
