The property consists of two large caves. Totally reconstructed and rehabilitated. In the smaller cave there is a store room, where you can store the tools for the cultivation of olive trees, fig trees, vines and other fruit trees. This cave could also serve as a guest house.
The larger cave is the main dwelling (all cave of 120 built meters and 100 useful meters). The views are spectacular and the place where it is located has been declared a picturesque site, due to its location and its proximity to a historical site *Cerro del Fuerte*.
The house is a cave built over a previous cave. It consists of 2 large bedrooms with fitted wardrobes in each of them, a large living room with fireplace connected to the kitchen. The kitchen in turn communicates with the garage which is also prepared to be a large and bright room.
Plot of more than 4000 meters, planted with various trees, including 48 olive trees in production. The other cave of 30 m² (used as a tool shed) is located in the same area. We then continue up to the second level where there is a 150,000 litre water tank, next to another plot of land smaller than the first. Following the access we reach a wide esplanade where the house is located (totally immersed (cave) in the mountain with a surface of more than 120 m2. It is a single floor open concept with 2 large bedrooms with ample built-in wardrobes and the possibility of having a total of 5 bedrooms, a large living room, a kitchen and a complete bathroom. All rooms (except one) are exterior facing and receive natural light.
Modern techniques were used for the reconstruction and rehabilitation, such as covering the entire surface with a 2cm diameter steel mesh, reinforcing the entire surface with shotcrete.
The property is very well communicated. Located in an unbeatable area. The village of Rioja is a charming and cosy village located in the middle of nature. It is located a few km from Benahadux and Almeria, a very quiet area with beautiful views. Close to the city but in the countryside. The beach, the airport, the legendary Minihollywood and the famous Tabernas desert are just a few kilometres away.
