You can hear the river from the house, there is wild swimming in beautiful lakes just down the road, and the peaks of Snowdonia are all within easy reach.

From the lane you enter a slate flagged courtyard and from there through the rear hall into the utility room on your right and the kitchen on your left. The fitted dining kitchen has the original broad slate flagged floors, original fireside cupboards and inglenook with slate mantle. There are lovely views from the large window over the garden. The large sitting room has windows on three sides and a door directly into the garden. The wood burning stove is the central feature of the room. There is a second sitting room with a cast iron fireplace which could also make a fourth bedroom. The travertine tiled bathroom has a double shower, and a window onto the courtyard.

Upstairs there are three bedrooms, two with cast iron fireplaces. All the bedrooms have large sash windows with lovely views. There is an additional bathroom which is currently just fitted with a toilet and WC, but which is large enough to fit a shower or bath if desired.

The main garden lies to the rear of the house, it is south-west facing, surrounded by dry stone walls and laid to grass with some trees and very prolific hydrangeas. There is ample parking to the rear of the cottage, with a shed, which is very useful for storing outdoor and garden equipment.

This unique cottage is very accessible, but so secluded you will be sheltered from the tourist crowds. This charming cottage in its stunning location would make a lovely family home .
