Flexible Layout

A Shade of Blues, named after the owners love of all things jazz, has been run successfully as a flexible vacation rental property, with owners residence, since its construction in 2010.

The house has been let as a villa for up to 8 guests in 4 en suite bedrooms plus 2 additional guest washrooms.

The top level of the property houses the 2 bedroom self contained apartment. The master bedroom, full kitchen, lounge room, air conditioned gym and guest w.c is on the main floor, below is a further en suite double bedroom along with pool-side kitchenette and w.c.

All options have their own private access and balconies and can be let separately from the main house or as one. The house design has given the owners the opportunity to enjoy the island with family whilst letting sections of the house and generating revenue.

Living Areas

There is a casual living/entertainment/tv room that opens off the main balcony area. A Shade of Blues also has a large office space in the hallway, along with a guest w.c. This is an open air environment with a beautiful view of the sea. All living areas are cooled by ceiling fans.

This house is all about the location, Princess Margaret Beach - considered one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. The house would not have existed anywhere else on the island, the heavenly beach below is the reason for its construction. To the west is the equally lovely and slightly livelier Lower Bay beach - also within walking distance.

On nearby Princess Margarets Beach, just
a few steps down from the house is Jack's Bar, a stylish and popular
venue providing entertainment for residents and tourists alike. Just
around the headland along the beautiful scenic coastal walkway is Plantation
House Hotel and numerous bars and restaurants in Port Elizabeth, all within walking
distance.
