Diss is some 10 miles to the West and has a mainline rail link to London, Liverpool Street. Norwich is about 20 miles to the North and is the principal shopping and commercial centre for the County. Beccles is around 13 miles to the East and is at the head of the Navigable Norfolk Broads Waterways System.
