Cerveteri is a city northwest of Rome in Italy. It is known for the well-preserved necropolis complex, once part of an Etruscan city. The Banditaccia Necropolis is made up of a series of pre-Roman tombs, some with fragments of wall paintings. Finds such as urns and statues are exhibited at the Cerveteri Museum, inside the 16th century Ruspoli Castle.
