Description

Two magnificent properties offering hugely flexible accommodation, a short distance from the sea front and town centre.

THE PROPERTY
Tucked away a short distance from the most popular sea front and town centre, this wonderful property offers a purchaser a unique opportunity to acquire two adjoining properties which could easily be turned into one fabulous family home or two separate properties ideal for many families and creating huge potential for a healthy rental income.

First glimpses of this wonderful property are most impressive with its most attracting facade constructed of flint and local Blue Lias stone with a part slate and part thatched roof. Dating back over 400 years and originally thought to be part of an ancient Cistercian nunnery, the property underwent a fastidious programme of works in the 1980s and 1990s, and both properties are now immaculately presented and offer a perfect juxtaposition of old and new, both retaining a huge amount of character and charm.

The property offers huge flexibility for any purchaser, with two adjoining properties which are currently separated, but could very easily be incorporated and turned into one fabulous family house.

The property is approached via ornamental gates into a delightful courtyard, ideal for entertaining on a large scale.

THE COACH HOUSE
On first entering The Coach House there is a real sense of charm, space and light with a fantastic open plan kitchen, sitting area and dining area, which is quite simply 'as good as it gets'. To one end is the lovely kitchen incorporating a gas Aga (red) and a number of attractive wall and base units, and large flagstone flooring. In the centre is a dining area with enough room for a large dining room table, and at the far end is a sitting area with doors leading out to a delightful garden and paved terrace, ideal for al fresco dining. The views over Lyme Regis and the World Heritage Jurassic Coast are truly spectacular. Alongside the sitting area is a separate utility area, this is ideally where the two properties could easily be adjoined.
Also worth noting on the ground floor is a fantastic separate sitting room with a brick fireplace and woodburning stove and a separate cloakroom.
The bedrooms are situated on the first floor, with five beautiful bedrooms including a fantastic principal bedroom with an en suite shower room and balcony boasting the most stunning views. There is also a separate family shower room. The property is flooded with natural light and is immaculately presented, ideal for the holiday rental market.

STABLE COTTAGE
On first entering Stable Cottage is it difficult not to smile, with a superb kitchen leading into a garden room and out to a paved terrace. This magical property retains a huge amount of character and charm and again is a perfect juxtaposition of old and new. There are two bedrooms and a bathroom.

OUTSIDE
The walled garden to the rear of the two properties is a true delight, with two eating terraces and a lawned area. It is incredibly private with far reaching coastal views.
All in all, these two properties really do offer a fantastic opportunity to either create the family home of your dreams or a property to stay in over the summer whilst attracting a very healthy income the rest of the time.
