Description

Southview has access both to the front off Cross Park and to the rear onto Jubilee Road which is generally regarded as one of the best roads in Totnes. Having been a much-loved family home for many decades this property would now benefit from modernisation and redecoration.

Accessed via a double-glazed side porch which offers space for boots and coats, you enter through the glazed front door into a large hallway with high ceilings. There are stairs to the first floor immediately on your right, under which are two good sized cupboards offering excellent storage, and straight ahead of you is the kitchen.

A lovely light room it has a large window overlooking the terraced rear garden and wooden fitted wall and floor units. There is a built-in hob, and plenty of space for an oven, dishwasher and washing machine. From here there is an inner lobby with lovely tiled floor, a Guest WC and the back door.

To the front with large south facing bay windows are the two large reception rooms, both of which have high ceilings and fireplaces. These fabulous rooms are bathed with light and have glorious views over the front garden and to the hills beyond.

Upstairs, are three well-proportioned double bedrooms. Bedrooms 1 & 2 to the front have super views across Totnes and the hills beyond, and Bedroom 3 has a dual aspect overlooking the side and back garden and has a basin with vanity unit. There is a family bathroom which is fully tiled and has a large walk-in electric Mira shower, there is a separate WC. In addition there is a large useful airing cupboard which houses the Worcester boiler.

Southview sits high above Cross Park, and as such the paved sun terrace which hugs the property has lovely elevated views over the South facing garden at the front. A side path down from the front door leads to the parking area and the garden has a nice mixture of lawn, flowerbeds and mature trees and shrubs. What would have been a pond has been filled in but could easily be reinstated. To the back of the property the gardens are terraced and have been carefully planted with many lovely bushes and shrubs. A path cuts through and leads up to Jubilee Road and a further parking space which is over the roof of the large storage shed, which is used for storing garden tools.
