Sellers Story - We bought this property back in 2019. We spent the next few years pouring lots of love and creativity into making it our home. We changed almost everything, but kept a nod to the old - including restoring and relaying the original parquet flooring in two of the newly created rooms.

Starting with virtually a blank canvass, we were able to design and create the most amazing family home. We have so many great memories of the place, including hosting many parties with family and friends. We even had a band playing in the covered patio area at one of our parties – thankfully most of our neighbours joined us for that one!

Prior to discovering Ainsbury Road, we had no idea that such an amazing area existed in Coventry. It is so conveniently located and everyone is so friendly. It is like living in a lovely little village but having all the benefits of city living on your doorstep!

The short walk to the train station is another big bonus for us, as I work in London occasionally. It also makes getting to Birmingham International, the NEC or further a field really easy.

Since moving in we’ve discovered Canley Ford on our walks to Memorial Park, these have been great places to go for family walks and to meet lots of lovely people.

It’s hard to pick out one favourite room, as we have spent so much time designing and creating each of the rooms here. We spend lots of time in the kitchen, we love entertaining and cooking and it’s the perfect place to get everyone together!

Finishing the nursery in time for my baby shower which we held at the house will always be memorable.  The room very nearly became a dressing room attached to the master bedroom, but it ended up becoming a storage room for a while! When we discovered that we were due to have our baby boy, it was all systems go to create a wonderful space for him. We love Harry Potter and so it became a no brainier in terms of how to style the room. Hogwart’s Castle was hand-painted onto the wall, stars on the ceiling and the Hogwart’s train bookshelf was built to house the many books that our son has already accumulated! It was lovely being able to show everyone the nursery at the party!

We love the beautiful views from the kitchen and watching the sunset against the neighbouring trees through the glass apex. We will miss this room most, having created many great memories with family and friends over the years. Another great feature we love is the ‘laundry chute’ we will miss the ease of dropping washing from upstairs straight into the utility cupboard – it was a last minute stroke of creative genius from a family member and we love it!

When we first viewed Ainsbury Road, I wasn’t sure about the lanes with no pavements, but now we’re going to miss those quiet ‘country roads’.
The home is amazing, but as creative types, we are always looking for our next project. This, coupled with a need to move closer to our source of childcare, is why we are reluctantly leaving the area. We will miss the welcoming community vibe and the warmth extended by our lovely neighbours. We have made many great friends for life and will miss living in Ainsbury Road.

Location - Ainsbury Road is a charming, green neighbourhood filled with appealing and diverse homes. Its convenient location allows for easy walks to Canley Train Station, Earlsdon, and The University of Warwick. Canley Road, a significant thoroughfare connecting Birmingham and the Midlands Motorway Network, is just a short distance away.

Earlsdon is a vibrant and picturesque area with a distinct village feel, with quaint shops, cafes, and restaurants adding to its charm.

Earlsdon is also surrounded by green spaces, with several parks and gardens dotted throughout the area. These provide opportunities for outdoor activities, leisurely walks, or simply enjoying nature with family and friends. The War Memorial Park, located nearby, is a particularly popular spot for locals and visitors alike.

The neighborhood is well-served by various amenities. From independent boutiques to grocery stores, there is a diverse range of shops to cater to residents' needs. Additionally, there are several schools in the area, making it an attractive location for families.

Earlsdon benefits from excellent transport links, with regular bus services connecting it to the city center and other areas of Coventry. The city's main train station is also within easy reach, providing convenient access to other major cities in the UK.

Overall, Earlsdon offers a friendly and welcoming community atmosphere, coupled with its picturesque surroundings and convenient location. It is a sought-after place to live, with a strong sense of pride and a range of amenities that make it a fantastic area to explore and call home.
