Five years ago, when we first viewed this house, almost instantly, we knew this was going to be our home.

We walked in as newlyweds excited about the chapter ahead and over the years, we’ve enjoyed growing our family and turning this house into a home for our two young children. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect first home; however, as our children are growing older, we feel it’s important for them to be a part of their grandparent’s lives so we’re moving closer to them.

The location of the house is nothing short of idyllic surrounded by fields, nature reserves and country parks. It provides an excellent base for outdoor activities: walking, riding, cycling and horse-riding. As a family, we enjoy the sense of peace and quiet and the only traffic you hear is the passing of horses going by which my children love and can never help but run out to greet them.

We recently renovated the downstairs to create an open-living family space with a new state of the art kitchen with a large statement piece island. The open-living space is the heart of the house; it provides an area where we can come together as a family as well as a relaxing environment when we want to wind down. It’s cool in the summer and cosy during the winter months - we have the best of both worlds.

The large garden was also newly landscaped to give the children a place to play and enjoy the space. One of our favourite spots in the house is the garden; it is perfect for relaxing and entertaining. Over the years, we have thrown countless parties from setting up outdoor movie nights to hiring out a mobile farm for my children’s birthdays.
