Description

A rare find near the famous medieval town of Domfront. This is an ideal family house, with four bedrooms, spacious living quarters and a large garage, set in a nice surburban area. As well as being a very attractive house, this is a gardener's dream, boasting a truely beautiful garden that spans over 10,000m2! There are multiple fruit trees, hedges and shrubs, a small wood, a pond and a meadow allowing plenty of space for keeping animals and growing fruit and veg. The house is in great condition, allowing the new owners an opportunity to apply their own decorative touch. The habitable area is almost 200m2, which is not even counting the basement, wine cellar, garage, and workshop. The living room is very spacious, and has two french doors that lead out on to the garden and the gorgeous view of the rolling hills of the Norman countryside.

Once passed down the lane serving this tranquil neighborhood, situated at the border of a wooded area of beautiful countryside, we find our delightful property. The gravel path leads us to the front door. Upon entering, we arrive in the spacious living room, with a dining room area and lounge area. Classical french tomette tiles, a feature fireplace and the french doors are among the key features of this room. The windows let in an abundance of natural light. There is a small bathroom adjacent to the front door, concealed away efficiently. Moving to the Eastern wing of the property, that was added in 1987, an extension to the original house built in 1981. Here we find the first of the bedrooms. It is a spacious room, blessed with an ensuite with shower and a dressing room. Going back through the living room on the other side of the ground floor, we enter through to the kitchen. A homely space of 15m2, fully-equiped and offering a great view, it features a larder and a dutch door/stable door that leads out onto a sheltered terrace outside. From the larder we can access the cellar. On this floor, there is storage space for firewood, a laundry area, a wine cellar, workshop and parking space: it's a big space. Back upstairs, through the kitchen and up the primary staircase, we arrive on the landing, with some space for a little bookshelf and armchair chill out area. Then we find the second and third bedrooms, as all the bedrooms in this house, are very decently sized and fitted with velux windows offering a beautiful view out. A bathroom serves these two bedrooms, fitted out with briare tiles and another window that lets in more natural light. You may be wondering where the fourth bedroom is. Well, to find it, we need to go back down the stairs, outside in the garden and back to the Eastern wing of the property. An exterior staircase leads us up to the second story of the extension, where we find another generously sized bedroom, with a bathroom section, so it is great for hosting guests and family members who wish to stay over, offering them some more privacy than a more conventional lay out. This concludes the layout of the house. As for the garden, I recommend coming and visiting it yourself, since words will not truly do it justice - a beautiful hectare of the french countryside that will allow you to accomplish your dream rural lifestyle.
