Brackley is an attractive market town and civil parish in West Northamptonshire, England, bordering Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire, 19 miles (31 km)from Oxford and 22 miles (35 km) from Northampton.

The site is located approximately 350m north-west of Brackley's town centre, Market Place, accessed via Banbury Road and Fox Lane. It is surrounded by residential development, although a community building housing the 5th Brackley Scout Group is located just to the north-east.

The application site is a developed brownfield site and measures approximately 1.14 acres (0.46 Ha), and forms an L-shape, approximately 96m width and 74m in length, with the existing building, a place of worship, located on the northern boundary. The remaining space is utilised for 100 car spaces for the church meeting hall, which is enclosed on all sides by timber fences. 

The site is therefore substantially open except for the hall building, with a tarmacadam hard surface.

The meeting hall is a large, rectangular building constructed in the late 1970s or early 1980s, measuring approximately 5,275 Sq ft (490 Sq m) and it is finished in buff brick.
