Five Ashes is a small hamlet which is attached to the village of Mayfield. It has a small primary school, community centre which holds village events and pre-school, local pub and regular bus services to Heathfield, Mayfield, Tunbridge Wells and Eastbourne. Mayfield has a very good range of local shops, clubs, pubs and amenities and the market town of Heathfield is very well served with four supermarkets, restaurants, takeaways, medical amenities and secondary school only two miles distant. Within a few minutes drive is Isenhurst Country Club with its gym and swimming pool. The larger towns of Uckfield and Crowborough are only 15 minutes drive and both have a main line station, secondary schools, cinemas and supermarkets.
Directions
In the centre of Five Ashes is a triangle of grass with the war memorial on it which is opposite the school. To the left is Spring Lane but on the main road by the pedestrian crossing is the drive up to the property. You may find it easier, until you know the way, to park opposite and walk up to the house.
